OAJ Call for Proposals: Semester 2023A
The Observatorio Astrofísico de Javalambre (OAJ) is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals for Semester 2023A (January 1st - June 30th, 2023). The deadline for proposal submissions of Regular Programs is September 15th at 23:59:59 CEST. While, the deadline for proposal submissions of Director Discretionary Time is permanently opened.
This call offers the use of T80Cam at the 80cm JAST80 telescope. T80Cam is a panoramic camera with a large-format CCD of 9.2k x 9.2k pixels providing an effective FoV of 2 square degrees (1.4deg x 1.4deg). It hosts a set of 12 narrow, medium and broad band optical filters originally defined to conduct the J-PLUS survey.
The OAJ open time amounts to 80 hours per semester, split in 40 hours for Regular Programs (only the Target of Opportunity observing mode is available) and 40 hours for Director Discretionary Time. That does not include the time already reserved for the forthcoming Legacy Surveys that are expected to start in January 2023.
More information can be found at OAJ observing time description.
